American Chair Store is a family owned business located in the Midwest. We
welcome your feedback and suggestions on our website, and the products we offer.

We have customer pickup at 6837 Lake Michigan Drive, Allendale, Michigan.
We only offer Saturday pickup please call ahead.

We do not adjust any orders without contacting you.

We do not ship without payment unless credit has been established.

Because of high demand for our towels, we do run out of product occasionally, and
this might cause a delay in shipping, so please plan accordingly.

We primarily ship ground. If you would like your order sent via the US postal
system, use the comments section to let us know, or call our toll free telephone
number. We do try to give you the most affordable shipping.

American Chair sends out email confirmations and updates. Due to various reasons
(spam filters etc.), our email's don't always make it to the buyer. We do our best to
keep you in the loop concerning your order, but do call us if you have concerns. If
you are not comfortable using a credit card online, please call us to fulfill your order.

All products are sold at the lowest price possible. If you have a large project, or
purchase for a business, and would like us to place a bid, please call or email us.

If you send us a picture and a testimonial, and if we use it on our website, we will
send you a care package of different towels to try for free. If you have a blog and put

Are our towels USA made?
This is really important to many consumers for both quality and keeping the
work at home. We search for the best made product and try to purchase USA first. We
search out the factories the big box stores have forgot about. If we can not find the quality
we need then we go offshore. We are not trying to make a quick buck and buy imports then
resell them to you. ACS has added value in everything we sell. We find the products that are
hard to get and inspect them before they ship. Every item if its domestic or import we
inspect. This takes labor at our facility. That is what you are paying for, we make sure there
are no defects we inspect everything we sell. Even a import has American labor the dock
workers are union and get paid well, there are warehouse employees,office workers,truck
drivers,hilo driver. Many American jobs are created when you buy from ACS.

When we use the term "American Flour Sack Towel" what we are saying is, this is a
traditional American flour sack towel. The same type of product that was cut from feed and
flour sacks that American consumers used decades ago. They made dresses,sheets  even
underwear! Plus they used them for cleaning and baking. This was a very versatile product
all from a product that would or could have been thrown out.
Using the term American flour sack towel you know what type of towel you are buying.
Most imports and box store flour sack towels are so thin you would be embarrassed to use
them for underwear much less to clean with.
The flour sack towel we sell comes in a raw material offshore then we bring it into a US
factory and process it. In it's raw state this is not anything you can use. After a long and
lengthy process we have it shipped to us were it is inspected then shipped to you the
consumer. US customs does not feel it meets the requirements for import. That is why there
are no import tags on our flour sack towels.
Dundee towels come from four different factories, China,Canada,Brazil and the USA.
1888 is all domestic. Bar mops and Huck Towels are import. All towels are inspected
by ACS employees. If you buy from us not only are you keeping our employees working
you are also keeping many Americans busy. We have a multitude of factories around the

Do we sell towels from organic cotton?
All of our factories we buy from have long standing relationships with the suppliers and
growers of the cotton they buy from. They know if they destroy or abuse the land they will
be out of business. Every precaution is made to take of the fields and the environment the
cotton is grown.
Why does a chair store sell towels?
ACS started out in the hotel and restaurant business. We have never been a strip mall
business. The names implies a store that sells chairs, instead we are a soft goods company.

The term in our industry is "soft goods". When you walk into a hotel or restaurant anything
that is not nailed down or is made of fabric is called soft goods.

ACS is a home and business supply company, we are not a retailer we are a wholesale
company that sells retail and wholesale.

Originally we would bid on new hotel and restaurant projects from a new construction
report. The report gives you information on new construction all over the USA. Our
company would look at the table, chairs, towels,table cloths,napkins on particular project.
Then submit a bid in hopes of getting the project.
Like most business we were effected by the events on 9/11/01 and had to change and adapt.
We do not bid on new construction anymore. Most of our sales come from the individual
consumer and small business and medium business.
